The Story of the Supremes from the Mary Wilson Collection

Featuring a host of iconic gowns and stage outfits, this V&A exhibition in collaboration with The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a must for all fans of fashion and sixties music. The exhibition illustrates the changing image of The Supremes as they rose from rags to riches. Not only were The Supremes the biggest girl band ever, they can trace their roots to the early days of Motown. The exhibition also looks back at the
American civil rights movement and the meteoric rise of the Motown label.

Carnesky's Ghost Train
From 30 October
There once was a group of daughters that escaped from a war torn town on a night train, the train mysteriously disappeared and the daughters were never seen again. No one knows what happened to them. Folklore has it that it was a phantom train sent by spirits to deliver them from the terror of this world.
Take a nightmarish fairground ride through a maze of darkened tunnels where sinister trains and abandoned stations are haunted by ghostly ladies in tattered vintage dresses.
Inhabited by extraordinary live performers, creepy animatronics, spectacular magic illusions, eerie moving sets, and a dazzling show of lights, Carnesky’s Ghost Train, the quirky arthouse funfair ride is being resurrected to spectacular proportions in the heartland of the British seaside, at Blackpool’s ‘ historic Victorian entertainment centre, the Winter Gardens.
